Pro-Ject was founded in 1991 during the onslaught of the compact disc and CD players, with the mission to offer the best analogue experience for reasonable prices. In a time where the digital audio media had been on the rise and vinyl was declared as outdated and dead, Heinz Lichtenegger kept his belief in the simple but best way to enjoy music – turntables.
As a company, their goal is to get as many people as possible into the wonderful hobby that is HiFi audio and to deliver a real stereo experience for the lowest cost possible. With the success of the initial Pro-Ject 1, they began their first major chapter. Today they ship into more than 80 countries world-wide and are happy to share some of their passion with every customer.

Good product design is long-lasting. The Pro-Ject production is carried out in the heart of Europe with factories located in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Germany. 95% of the goods are manufactured within 440km and 97% of the raw materials are sourced from the immediate vicinity of the factories. Raw materials from the surrounding area are wood/MDF, metals, carbon fiber, glass, but also packaging and advertising materials.
Their first turntable, the Pro-Ject 1, stands the test of time and is still a great turntable by today’s standards. Due to their 25 years spare parts availability guarantee, they are able to keep their products alive for a very long time. Pro-Ject has a clear stance: Anti-Throwaway-Culture. They maximize the lifespan of products by simplifying it to the main features and offer a modular system to pick the features you really need. The modular system also brings big advantages in terms of serviceability.
While we regularly stock several examples of Pro-Ject turntables, we special order units for customers interested in more advanced turntables based on best fit. Not sure which turntable is for you? Ask us. More models are available. Please inquire.
