RCMP Investigate Break + Enter

On Mon April 7 at 3:40am, three people broke into our Vernon store and stole a bunch of gear. Our hi-res cameras caught them in action and the videos are with the Vernon RCMP for full investigation.

Ultimately, we’re a small business and this kind of thing hurts a lot. We’re asking for our community’s help to identify the people in this image.

Small businesses are squeezed at every turn: payroll taxes, insurance premiums, property taxes or rent, triple net (utilities), and rising wholesale prices. Add to that seriously unrealistic international competition from large retailers with greater buying power who can advertise directly to our customers and woo them with a simple ‘add-to-cart’ while relying on us bricks-and-mortar locations for free brand support to those very customers.

Your small local businesses are already tired – and then this happens.

WANTED: information leading to the identification and arrest of the people who perpetrated this crime. Did you or someone you know see something suspicious? Do the right thing. Please contact the Vernon RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file #2025-3094.

Thank you to our customers who continue to support us however you can, from wherever you are. We value your loyalty and appreciate your patience as we navigate another challenge we really shouldn’t have to navigate.

Thank you to the local RCMP detachment for your diligence and hard work. We appreciate all you do (including these early morning call-outs) in your efforts to keep us, our property, and our community safe in these increasingly difficult days.

City of Vernon: your small businesses need you – please start showing up.
