Description

The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista M3 super integrated amplifier (with remote control) is a unique piece of audiophile history. The design and build were based on a combination of the world famous Nu-Vista preamplifier and the legendary Nu-Vista NV300 power amplifier. According to the original manual (included), if “…used properly and carefully, it should give you many years of outstanding musical reproduction.” Only 500 made beginning around 2001 and with 250 WPC in 8ohms and a separate power supply/transformers, the Nu-Vista M3 integrated amplifier is in a class of its own.

This legendary piece of hifi has been with us for several years, waiting for a skilled hand to perform some minor servicing. There are some very minor blemishes barely discernible on the face of the power supply – a shadow in the grain of the top left corner, a hairline on the bottom gold trim, and one small mark on the front bottom right corner. Please see photos, and view in person at our Kelowna location.

The Nu-Vista M3 integrated amplifier comes with original boxes, manual, remote, and cables. Original retail was $4,500 USD. It’s a heavy set of components, so our preference is for the buyer pick up locally with full demonstration of equipment. Shipping is not available for this item. Due to the nature of ‘vintage’ electronics we can offer 30 day warranty on parts we replaced.

The Nu-Vista M3 has 5 line level inputs – CD, Tuner, Aux, SACD, Tape, and 1 phono input which can be used for moving magnet (MM) cartridges. This includes CD players, Super Audio CD players (SACD), tuners, tape machines and the audio outputs of video recorders, televisions, DVD, etc.

PSU to Amplifier Connections: The Nu-Vista M3 is supplied with 2 complete sets of power supply connecting leads. One of the sets is 0.7M long the other 1.2M long. Choose the length that best suits your installation. The two power amplifier PSU leads are identical.

The Nu-Vista M3 has a permanently active preamp output situated on the back panel. This provides extra flexibility for use in multi-room or surround-sound systems etc. This signal comes from the NuVista M3’s internal preamp and its output level is thus controlled by the front panel volume control. This output allows easy connection to an other power amplifier for bi-amping applications.

The Nu-Vista M3 operates in Class A/B which offers the ultimate in musical accuracy and pleasure. Musical Fidelity advises that for the best results, Nu-Vista interconnects (included) should be used. Dust regularly with a soft duster or soft brush but be careful using cleaning or polishing agents – they may harm the surface finish.
